18 more sweepers to clean Dublin’s fair city

June 3, 2019

Dublin City Council has brought in 18 Johnston C201 Euro 6 compacts, continuing the Council’s long-term use of Johnston machines to keep the city clean.

These latest sweepers have been purchased direct from Westpark as Johnston’s exclusive distributor in Ireland, replacing lease-hired machines and joining Johnston VT651 truck mounted sweepers also operated by the City’s Waste Management Service.

Dublin decided to continue using Johnston C201s as the machines meet the Council’s requirements for double and even treble shifting, to suit its street cleansing programme.

The City have also invested significantly over the last five years in operator training, Train the Trainer tuition, and health and safety training, supplied by Johnston and available to all sweeper operators.
